Advancement is one of the methods of Scouting that empower Scouts to learn and overcome obstacles. Scouts plan their own advancement and progress at their own pace as they meet each challenge.

Scouts are recognized and rewarded for each achievement, which helps them gain confidence while learning and upholding the values of Scouting. The advancement system helps a Scout grow in self-reliance and in the ability to lead and help others.

See Scouting.org for a complete list of ranks, awards, and their requirements.
See our Troop 883 Guide to Advancement for guidance and the process.

Merit Badges
